Treehouse Kid & Craft

If you live within 3,000 miles of Athens, GA, I super encourage you to check out the coolest toy store ever: Treehouse Kid & Craft. It's full of really unique gifts and toys, along with awesome classes, party ideas, and sweet people! I was so pleasantly surprised that it wasn't like every other small, independent,  and "hip" toystore! It's full of new and vintage things! Some are locally handmade while others are made specifically for the shop way out in Nepal! While I was there, I bought presents for my son's birthday (November!) and for Christmas as well! I also picked up a few lightweight items for the plane ride back to California: a Charlie Harper coloring book, a lion puppet from Nepal, two wooden people, a fox finger puppet from BlaBla, and two tiny clothespins (to develop those fine motor skills). In my attempt to share the awesomeness, here are a few cute pictures! Thank you, Kristen Bach for having such an amazing shop. It really adds life to the already vibrant Athens community.

Rue Magazine! West Coast Launch Party

Last night was the super sweet launch party for the new online magazine, Rue! It's full of amazing photos, lovely interiors, shopping, fashion, and more. I love it! And I also love Anne Sage, the co-founder and exec editor. Her blog (the city sage) is seriously one of the most stunning blogs on-the-line. Last night the Kate Spade store in Corte Madera played kind host to the Rue launch party... cupcakes, cocktails, candy, and so many pretty girls. Single dudes- you could do worse than show up at a lifestyle magazine party (or a design blogger's party)!!! Do check out Rue and Anne! But first check out a few shots from last night's West Coast Launch Party!

Loveliness is Jess Brown

Jess Brown makes the sweetest, old-fashioned rag dolls. If I ever have a baby girl, you know I'll be getting her one of these sweet little gals! I have loved the work of Jess Brown and was delighted to find out that she lives in nearby Petaluma! And, as if that weren't fun enough, I found out that she (and her friend Stacy) have an adorable little store called Maude. Here are a few photos of Jess Brown's work. I love the quilt/baby blanket I made, but Jess's quilt is amazing! Click here for the rabbit/doll

Jess- we hope to visit your shop SUPER soon!!
