Help a Mother Out!

The big party for Help a Mother Out was on Sunday at the Peekadoodle Kidsclub and it was a great success! Over 17,000 diapers were collected and everyone had a blast! I even won a raffle prize... an awesome collection of MY OWN vintage stamped envelopes and notecards! Yep, I won my own raffle prize! Once they realized it, I was given a 90 minute massage at Relaxmith... so much better than stamps, right?!

Amber, from wiz bang photography set up a great photobooth. We got our photo taken! Check out her HAMO post with some great shots of other kids and families in the photobooth HERE. Big thanks to Julie Michelle from iliveheresf for getting me involved!

Arrow in Athens

I had the great fortune to visit ARROW (Athens Rumpus Room Or Workspace), a new place for kids to play and learn in Athens, Georgia (it's next to Big City Café). The workspace part of the name is for the grown-ups; ARROW will also serve as an outlet for parents in the community to meet, craft, or work (they hope to have various workshops and classes). It was started by a seriously amazing duo, Amanda Kapousouz and Rinne Allen. Arrow is geared toward early childhood education and so much fun! It is Waldorf-inspired and has activities like Morning Garden and Music days. I was there on Music Day! Amanda played Irish fiddle for the kids while they danced and played with the other instruments.

They're currently only open to members, but hope to open up to the public soon! Here are a few photos from my visit. The full set can be seen HERE.

Photowalk!

For the first time in many, many years, I spent the morning just taking pictures (and not of my son!). I met my new friend, Rebekah, downtown this morning. We just walked around the quiet streets looking at all of the wonderful architecture. Here are a few photos from the shoot. The full set can be seen on Flickr.

Family Photos with Melissa Pepin

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Athens (more posts to follow). While we were there, we had some family photos taken by the amazingly talented Melissa Pepin. We had a great time shooting with her on the porch at Two Story Coffee and then walking around between rainstorms. Our little boy loved walking through the puddles!

She put a handful of photos up on her blog, which you can check out HERE

Thanks, Melissa!!
