I love maps. I had the best map ever, one of the old schoolhouse pull down maps, but it was clobbered in the move from Georgia. It was one of two things that was ruined due to careless packing on their part. Oh, I miss that map. Since I've been dreaming about maps, I've decided to make the first installment of Friday Finds about maps.
First up is the ever swank Ork Posters. They've made several city neighborhood posters. Obviously, I'm partial to the San Francisco one.
Next up is Soft-Maps from Haptic Lab: They are handmade quilted maps of Brooklyn neighborhoods and parks that represent someone's unique place in the city. This one is of the Fort Greene area.
Third is just a sweet little relic, a Market Street Railway Company route map of SF from 1943.
