We just got back from a great trip to Wisconsin. We did the full tour... milling around Milwaukee and Madison for a few days before visiting with the in-laws in Janesville. We had a nice time & enjoyed great weather for the most part. Here are a few photos from the trip.
We visited the Milwaukee Art Museum. The art inside was great, but nothing beat the building itself. The Burke Brise Soleil, is a moveable sunscreen with a 217-foot wingspan (comparable to the wingspan on a Boeing 747) that unfolds and folds twice daily. When you enter the museum, you're engrossed in the space of Windhover Hall, with a vaulted a 90-foot-high glass ceiling. It's really an amazing place
After Milwaukee, we headed over to Madison. Got to experience Ella's Deli, an amazing eatery (with ice cream!) full of wonderful animatronic stuff, complete with a carousel! We walked around downtown Madison and got to see some of campus (University Wisconsin-Madison) and the lakes.
Janesville was family time... (attempted) golfing, drinking, board games, and just general hanging out. Here's a photo of our boy (on the right) and 2 of his cousins. Anyone wondering where he gets his blonde locks? Here's your answer!
